1 · Cut and shape
How the diamond faces the world.
Shape is personal: round brilliant is the classic light-return choice; oval, pear, marquise, and elongated cushion shapes can create a longer visual line; emerald and Asscher cuts favor clean, architectural flashes. For fancy shapes, look beyond the report and consider symmetry, proportion, and how the stone looks in its actual media.
2 · Carat and spread
Weight is not the whole story.
Carat measures weight, not the exact visual footprint. Two stones of the same weight can face up differently depending on shape and proportions. Use the product's stated total weight as a starting point, then ask us for a size comparison or a different scale if you want more or less presence.
3 · Color
Brightness without overthinking it.
Diamond color is graded from colorless downward. Metal choice affects what the eye notices: a warmer gold setting can make a near-colorless diamond read beautifully, while platinum and white gold emphasize a crisp, bright appearance. F+ is our signature baseline; E+ is there for clients who want to move further toward colorless.
4 · Clarity
Clean to the eye is the goal.
Clarity grades describe internal characteristics and surface features. Many are microscopic. VS+ is a strong visual standard for a fine-jewelry piece; VVS+ is available for those who want a higher grading range. A grading report is valuable, but it does not replace seeing how a stone handles light.
Lab-grown diamonds, clearly explained
Lab-grown diamonds have the same fundamental crystal structure as mined diamonds, but are created in a controlled setting rather than recovered from the earth. Their value varies with the same practical drivers buyers care about: shape, cut quality, color, clarity, carat weight, and the specific stone's visual character. The right question is not simply “lab or mined?”—it is whether the stone, setting, and total price deliver the piece you want to wear.
Certification and laser inscription
Before production, we confirm IGI documentation for the selected lab diamond. The grading report records the stone's reported characteristics, and the report number may be laser-inscribed at the diamond's edge. Read how IGI documentation works →
Choosing your metal
14k gold is a durable everyday choice. 18k gold has a richer gold content and a slightly warmer, more saturated color. Platinum is naturally white and dense, with a substantial feel. Yellow, rose, and white gold are style decisions; the diamond and the wearer should lead. Celestra offers 14k and 18k yellow, rose, and white gold, plus platinum.
